Quick Start
Get your first transcript in under 30 seconds.
From the Popover
- Click the Transcribe icon in your menu bar.
- Paste a YouTube URL into the input field (or press the Paste button).
- Hit Submit (or press Enter).
- The transcript appears in seconds. It's automatically copied to your clipboard.
Quick Transcribe (Keyboard Shortcut)
The fastest way to transcribe:
- Copy a YouTube URL to your clipboard (from your browser, a message, etc.).
- Press ⌃ + ⌘ + S from anywhere on your Mac.
- Transcribe fetches the transcript in the background.
- You get a notification when it's done, and the transcript is on your clipboard.
Tip: You don't even need to open the app. Just copy a YouTube URL, press the shortcut, and the transcript replaces your clipboard content. Paste it wherever you need it.
Quick Transcribe + AI
If you have AI configured and an Auto-AI prompt selected:
- Copy a YouTube URL.
- Press your Quick Transcribe + AI shortcut (set in Settings).
- Transcribe fetches the transcript AND runs your AI prompt on it automatically.
Open the Library
For a full browsing experience with all your saved transcripts:
- Right-click the menu bar icon and select Open Library.
- Or press ⌃ + ⇧ + S to toggle the window.
The library shows all your saved transcripts with search, folders, and AI chat.
