How Transcribe keeps itself up to date.

Auto-Update Checking

Transcribe periodically checks GitHub Releases for new versions. By default, it checks every 24 hours. You can change the interval in Settings (1h, 6h, 12h, 24h, or weekly). You get a macOS notification when an update is available.

Updating the App

When an update is found, open Settings to see details.

1. Click "Download Update" to download the new DMG.
2. Open the DMG and drag the new Transcribe into Applications, replacing the old version.

Alternatively, enable "Auto-download updates" in Settings to download automatically.

Version History

The Settings page includes a Version History section showing all past releases with release notes.
